Igor Gorin, a well-known Ukrainian artist was born on  January 28, 1952, in Tiacevo, Zakarpatska Region. In 1969 he enrolled in the  Department of Architecture at the Lviv   Polytechnic University.  After graduating as an architect in 1977 he  worked in Lviv as a landscape architect in 1977–82.  He moved to Western Siberia in 1982, and  worked as the Chief Architect of the town of Uray in the Tyumen Region. He began to paint seriously  in 1985, and his first personal exhibition was arranged that same year. 
                      
He returned to Lviv in 1988, where he built his unique  studio, and immersed himself in painting. 
                   
 He travelled extensively in Europe,  where he created his graphic series “Voyages.” 
                       
 He held personal exhibitions in Ukraine,  Russia, Europe, and USA. His participation in group exhibitions was  marked with prizes and diplomas. 
                       
His works were reviewed in the press and featured in  exhibition catalogues and brochures.  Igor  Gorin’s personal catalogue was published in 2000. 
On June 30, 2011, the heart of this talented artist stopped  beating.
                      
He was laid to rest in the Yanivske Cemetery  in Lviv.
